The Oasis is proud to partner with SWELL Sculpture Festival this year to present the captivating installation The Visitor, a collaborative work by artists Mark George, John Vanderkolk and Jeremy Sheehan.
From September 9-21, The Oasis will transform into a pop-up gallery space as part of SWELL’s city-wide celebration of sculpture, creativity, and community.
The Visitor is about adventure, imagination, and connection with the inner child, with reference to days gone by, and a future view based on optimism, wonder and possibilities. The Visitor brings with them an invitation to all of us to regain this perspective

With his head in the clouds and his feet planted firmly on the ground, Claudio is an award-winning Gold Coast artist who explores nostalgia, shared experiences and joy.
Known for his bold use of color and expressive mark-making, he creates energetic paintings, inspired by nature, pop culture and the everyday.
Claudio’s Positive Postcards Series was originally born as a creative coping gesture during the 2020 lockdowns, to share hopeful messages without the toxic positivity.

Hayley Stanich is a Gold Coast-based artist, educator and wellness advocate passionate about using creativity for self-expression and healing.
Her work blends intricate yet whimsical designs, celebrating colour, imagination and childlike wonder.
Originally trained in biomedical science, Hayley turned to art to navigate her own mental health challenges, later founding Smilefully Art to inspire others.
Through exhibitions, creative workshops and wellness-focused art experiences, she encourages people to embrace creativity as a tool for joy and connection.
